Lagerkvist is a Swedish/Danish duo  - Voice and Piano.

The duo set music to the famous author and poet Pär Lagerkvist's poems, and arrange the music to emphasize Pär Lagerkvist's views and thoughts on the wonders and struggles of being a human being, from cradle to grave. His poems are pensive, thoughtful, and profound with a lot of warmth and light. The duo picks the poems that speaks most to them and treat them with love and care when they compose and arrange. Their music is varied and could be characterized as a mix between folk, trad, pop & jazz. 

The duo came together in March 2020, just before the Covid lockdown, and could only do one performance that year, a single concert in November 2020. They decided to film and record that first concert, see videos below. During 2021 they added and developed their material and concept, and they are now looking forward to what the post-Covid world will bring. Touring, recording, research, and more composing is on their agenda.
